Also, We saw in episode 81 that this creepy old guy wanted to marry the Pill woman, so the third elder want to have the Pill woman get a death penalty, for not make the pill, maybe to make her a slave girl later, or rape her before she is being killed.

The so called "Righteous Sects" in most cultivation novels & associated donghuas are NOT necessarily "good" per se. They are only righteous in that their cultivation methods are pursuing a pure Dao or pure path towards cultivation of immortality. They usually stand opposed to the "evil Dao" sects which use "demonic" cultivation methods. In fact any strong sect will foster a very strongly competitive atmosphere where disciples must survive in a "law of the jungle" sort of way. Without this high level of competitiveness and aggressiveness no righteous or evil Dao sects will survive for long. They will be devoured by other, stronger sects. Interestingly, both Righteous and Devil Dao sects usually have lots of rules and laws governing behavior between disciples.
